Amazon Kindle now Compatible with Library Downloadable E-Books

After a long wait, and just in time for early holiday shopping, the Amazon Kindle is now compatible with the library's Overdrive downloadable e-books. Kindle owners may now use the link on our webpage to access our e-books and download them for free like the rest of our e-book patrons. Introducing Mango Languages!

Have you always wanted to learn another Language? Now you can! The Munising School Public Library is pleased to announce the addition of Mango Languages. Mango is an online language-learning system that can help you learn languages like Spanish, French, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Mandarin Chinese, Greek, Italian, Russian and more. Learning a language should be fun! Mango uses common, everyday conversations as the basis of each lesson, so you will be able to start using and appreciating what you learn right away. With a variety of interactive tools and a rich visual interface, Mango makes the learning process exciting. Searching for Ancestors? - AlgerRoots meets in Library

Alger Roots, a newly formed Geneological group is meeting each 4th Wednesday at 6:00 pm in the Public Library.
The group is comprised of many resourceful individuals, who are coming together to share their talents, and provide an avenue to learn more of the History and Families in the Alger County Area, and make information more readily available.

Using Family Search to search for Ancestors usually gets results. There are many sites that have records,
but Family Search is free. If you are inside the Library, you can use Ancestry.com free to search for your Family tree.
